Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct outlines principles and policies that all students are expected to adhere to while on school premises and/or when undertaking school activities. School officials have the authority to take immediate action and begin disciplinary proceedings in response to violation of this Code of Conduct.

The purpose of this Code is not to restrict Student Rights, but to protect the rights of individuals in their academic pursuits.

1.

Students must be punctual and attend all timetabled classes and activities. Students should maintain 100% attendance.

2.

Students must complete all set tasks, homework, project work, and any other required work within the time set by their Teachers, and to the appropriate standard.

3.

Students must be disciplined, well-mannered and respect all members of the college community. The school prohibits disorderly, indecent and disruptive behaviour.

4.

Students must maintain absolute integrity, academic honesty and high standards of individual honour. Lying, cheating, and stealing of any kind will not be tolerated.

5.

Students must use school property and resources in a responsible manner. The college prohibits theft of, misuse of, or damage to college property or property of any member of the college community.

6.

Students must be appropriately dressed when attending school so that it promotes academic seriousness and reflects cultural sensitivity.

Student Rights & Responsibilities

Students have the right to acquire an education within a safe, secure and supportive environment. KBIC is a community of individuals who interact within the framework of shared rights and responsibilities, and students are expected to follow all the school rules and regulations.

It is expected that KBIC students will demonstrate good citizenship, be responsible for their behaviour, and will establish positive relationships with the staff and the school community. The administration and faculty have the responsibility to show mutual respect for the students.

General Rules

1.

Students will be issued Photo Identification Cards at the time of Admission. Students must wear their Identification Card at all times and must be able to present it on demand by the School Officials. The school prohibits unauthorised entry into the school premises and campus facilities.

2.

Students must attend all school-related activities in the specified school uniform.

3.

Students must not bring valuables to school. The school will not be held responsible for any loss or theft of any such valuable items.

4.

Students must not use electronic devices that may cause unnecessary disruption to the teaching/learning process on campus.

5.

Students must comply with all safety regulations and instructions. The school prohibits misuse or tampering of safety equipments and devices.

6.

Gambling, card games or any activity where making a set wager, playing for money or material is involved is prohibited on school premises or at school-sponsored functions.

7.

KBIC is a drug-free campus. Strict action will be taken against the student who is involved in the use, sale, distribution or possession of illegal drugs, misused legal drugs, alcoholic beverages or tobacco on school premises or at school-sponsored functions.

8.

The school prohibits possession, storage, use, or threat of use of firearms, weapons, ammunitions, incendiary devices or explosives on school premises or at school-sponsored activity sites. The Principal will take strict and immediate action against the student violating this regulation, and the relevant legal authorities will be notified.

9.

Students must obey all the applicable rules and regulations of the school, otherwise strict action will be taken against the student. The school also strictly prohibits violation of any federal, state or local laws and regulations.

10.

KBIC has an anti-ragging policy. The school will take strict action against those found guilty of ragging or of abetting ragging.
